Basic conditions of biogas fermentation process

1. Appropriate fermentation temperature

The temperature conditions of the digester can be divided into:

The economic temperature of biogas fermentation is 35 ºC, i.e. medium temperature fermentation.

The concentration range of fermentation broth is 2-30%. The higher the concentration, the greater the gas production. When the concentration of fermentation liquid is more than 20%, it is called dry fermentation.

5. The proportion of carbon and nitrogen in fermentation materials is suitable (C: n)

Biogas fermentation microorganism needs the most carbon, followed by nitrogen. We call the ratio of carbon to nitrogen required by microorganisms as the ratio of carbon to nitrogen, which is expressed as the ratio of carbon to nitrogen. At present, 25:1 is generally used, but it is not very strict. 20:1, 25:1, 30:1 can be fermented normally.

6.Suitable pH value

The pH value of biogas fermentation is between 6.5 and 7.5, which affects enzyme activity and fermentation rate.

7. Enough strains

The quantity of bacteria in biogas fermentation directly affects the output and quality of biogas. Generally, the total amount of liquid in fermentation raw materials is required to be 10-30% to ensure the normal start-up and vigorous biogas production.
